Wendy Houstoun is a performer and maker whose work challenges, enriches and extends the boundaries of dance and theatre.

Wendy’s latest solo, for which she won Critics Circle National Dance Award 2014 for Outstanding Female Performance (Modern), is Pact with Pointlessness.   A mix of comedy, spoken word and performance, it offers a frank demonstration of how it feels to be knocked sideways by death, then renegotiate and carry on.  Funny and moving in equal measure, Pact with Pointlessness is all or nothing, do or die.  Pact with Pointlessness Promoters Pack

“She asks the big, existential questions”  Guardian ****
” … if Houstoun hadn’t chosen a career in dance theatre then she would have given Victoria Wood and Julie Walters some serious competition”  Dance Tabs

Also on tour is Stupid Women, an anarchic piece of improvised theatre under Wendy’s direction where the cast changes at each location.  Find out more via the Stupid Women website.
