HeadSpaceDance is the brainchild of British dancers Charlotte Broom and Christopher Akrill, who, after some twenty years in the business, dancing with Cullberg Ballet, Northern Ballet Theatre and in many ROH2 productions, have taken the reins in a new venture as dancers, curators and producers.
Their debut production Three and Four Quarters, created in 2012, was a critically acclaimed programme of six solos, duets and trios (with Clemmie Sveaas) full of verve, soul and wit from Mats Ek, Javier de Frutos, Luca Silvestrini and Didy Veldman.
With further support from the Royal Opera House, HeadSpace will create for five performances at the Linbury in April a new and equally compelling programme featuring commissions from Johan Inger (former Artistic Director with Cullberg and currently Associate Choreographer with NDT) playright and director Matthew Dunster (Young Vic, Southwark Playhouse, Almeida, Manchester Royal Exchange and the Globe Theatre) and Luca Silvestrini.
Both programmes are available in 2014. Download the promoters packs for Three and Four Quarters and the new programme.
