Earlier this year, Luca Silvestrini was interviewed by actor and musician Richard Strange about his life and career live at A Mighty Big If at the Church of St Barnabas in Soho, London. The event was filmed by HiBROW TV.
Luca talked to Richard about his training in Bologna, his performing career with the Featherstonehaughs and the foundation of Protein with Bettina Strickler in 1997. He describes his vision for the company and what he has aimed to achieve in each of his productions. He reveals that his “landlord” character in “Publife” (see above) was partly inspired by Graham Norton and how working with music has changed over the years.
Richard Strange appeared in “The Banquet” variously as God/butler/David Attenborough. His long-standing collaboration with Protein also includes work on “Big Sale” and “Dear Body”.
