“Dance goddess” Antonia Grove comes to the West End to present her solo show made in collaboration with Wendy Houstoun at Soho Theatre 2-6 October.
Small Talk sees Grove embodying the personae of a series of American movie actresses whose words are fed to her through earphones. In a series of staged attempts, Grove persistently tries to fulfill the chameleon’s desire to be all things to all people, with hilarious and disturbing results. Stand-up singing, sit-down talking, monosyllabic dancing and fast-talking movement are all hallmarks of this brave and compelling little classic.
Further autumn dates for Small Talk are at Déda in Derby on 9 November and Pavilion Dance, Bournemouth on 22 November.
