Recognised internationally, Tom Dale Company leads the field in combining dance, electronic music and digital media, creating category-defying performances which reach into popular culture.

Tom Dale’s latest double bill is back on tour in autumn 2023 and spring 2024 after critically acclaimed performances this spring.

Opening the evening, SURGE is an immersive, audio-visual, genre-breaking performance for stellar soloist Jemima Brown, twice nominated in National Dance Awards 2020, including in Outstanding Female Modern Performance category. Brown not only dances but sings live, her voice pouring over a dark electronic score from British music producer ITAL TEK. Android-like in white costume and close-cropped hair, there is an unearthly quality to her presence within Barret Hodgson’s dazzling projections.

More grounded and earthy in comparison, SUB:VERSION is a deceptively simple, yet meticulously choreographed selection of ten dance sketches for four dancers. The piece, created to WEN’s album EPHEM:ERA, oozes effervescent physicality and musicality, weaving a hypnotic journey through an array of electronic music sub-genres. Laced with elements of hip-hop, popping and house dance, this is urban yet sophisticated choreography with a distinctive style.
